As part of a drive to increase the number of female entrepreneurs in Roscommon, Galway and Mayo, Galway Mayo Institute of Technology (GMIT) innovation hubs will deliver a second cycle of their regional programme called ‘EMPOWER’, commencing in October across the region.

The EMPOWER Programme (female entrepreneurship programme in the West of Ireland which was launched last year) is now commencing its second cycle commencing in Oct 2018. Last year over ninety females applied for this programme which is funded by the Department of Justice and Equality and the European Social Fund and run by the GMIT Innovation Hubs.

Thirty-four women have signed up for and are taking part in the new Empower Programme delivered in GMIT’s innovation hubs in Mayo and Galway since September.

Places are filling up on the EMPOWER programme, less than a month since its launch in the Connacht Hotel, Galway.
